Dear Sir or Madam,

He is kindly informing that on 28-31 January 2018 the Polish Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Polish Embassy in Egypt (in which territorial competence is Sudan), Sudan Embassy in Berlin and our Sudanese partner – Federation of Sudanese Chambers of Commerce and Industry organizes economic mission to Sudan for representatives of Polish companies interested in cooperation on the Sudanese market.

SUDAN, a country of 36.8 million people – after lifting the US sanctions in October 2017 – creates new opportunities for companies seeking new, absorptive markets for their machines, devices, technologies, services and products.

The sectors that are prospective for the development of economy and trade include: exploitation of oil and gas, gold and other minerals, agriculture and agri-food industry, textile and clothing industry, energy, construction and ICT industries.

According to information provided to us by our Sudanese partners, the following are particularly sought after on the market:

Agricultural machines for growing and harvesting plants;
Machines for agri-food processing;
Packaging machines;
Spożywcze / including art. for babies;
Machines for the mining industry;
Power engineering / including small power plants;
Waste disposal in cities;
Medical and dressing supplies;
Medical equipment and articles for dressings, pharmaceuticals.

The Polish and Sudanese administration advocate support for mutual cooperation, which was confirmed both during the October visit of the Polish delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Khartoum and during last year’s visit to Poland of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan, who encouraged Polish companies to start operations in his country, indicating the most attractive sectors for our companies, ie the agricultural, mining and energy sectors.

The current role of Poland in the UN Security Council makes us an important political partner for the Sudanese authorities, which can be used in economic relations between our countries.

As part of the Mission, we plan to organize meetings with representatives of government administration, Federation of Sudanese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Foreign Investment Agency and business support organizations, and above all business forums and B2B meetings for companies.

Support and assistance in the implementation of the mission program in Sudan will give us: Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Cairo, Mr. Michał Murkociński, Head of the Department of Trade and Investment Promotion Mr Tomasz Przygoda, Dr Hussein Mohammed Hassan – Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Sudan and Federation of Sudan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The initial mission program includes: a flight on the Warsaw – Dubai – Khartoum – Warsaw route, visits to ministries and business environment institutions, a business forum and B2B talks in Khartoum.

The National Chamber of Commerce as part of the mission will take care of its logistic side, i.e. organize flights, on-site transport, an accompanying program; we will make hotel reservations and provide you with information on the details of accommodation.
